Rainy weekends=relaxing on the couch and catching up on some tv marathons! So, we weren’t very productive- but I did find a few pictures hidden away to put on the bookcase on the backside of the wine bar! I’m not totally feeling the overall styling, but with most of our decor still in storage I didn’t have much to work with. The paneling to the left is a placeholder for now…eventually we’ll be adding a fireplace with built-ins on each side along the back wall of the living room, that will tie into that area of the bar. This #newhouse is definitely still a #workinprogress but we’re getting there! #abitoftlcblog via Instagram @abitoftlcblog

new main living level layout

It looked neat at first, but turned out to be a little bit scary/treacherous to navigate.  The VA made us install a handrail which did help a bit, and once we got used to ducking at the appropriate moment to avoid head injuries we were actually thinking “ok, we can totally handle keeping this thing for awhile”.

Then we brought the  pups over.  Continue reading

Be Vewy Vewy Quiet, We’re Hunting Houses!

third time's a charm!

With the Hunter house finished and a little breathing room back in our bank account, it’s finally time to find ourselves a place of our own!  You may recall my little tour of our apartment… it was a little tour, for a very little apartment.

While it’s in an amazing location, the lack of space in our unit, and having to share the backyard now that the building is filling up, is starting to wear on us.  The pups are starting to show signs of being a little too close to each other all of the time too, so it’s definitely time for us to move on and find ourselves a little more room to spread out!
